INTERNATIONAL ZAKAT SERVICES
About the Zakat Program
The Global Deaf Muslim Federation (GDMF) facilitates the collection and distribution of zakat to support Deaf Muslims in need worldwide. Zakat assistance is provided through GDMF’s network of trusted national Deaf organizations, which are responsible for:
- Identifying eligible beneficiaries locally
- Verifying financial need
- Distributing zakat within their communities
- Ensuring transparency and accountability
This model preserves the dignity of Deaf beneficiaries, strengthens local Deaf institutions, and ensures that zakat is distributed in a responsible, timely, and Islamically compliant manner. Support is provided to help meet essential needs to a reasonable extent for those experiencing financial hardship.
Who Can Apply
International zakat applications are accepted only from recognized Deaf-led organizations serving their local Deaf Muslim communities. Individual applications are not accepted at the international level.
